Halloween may be long gone, but there are still plenty of treats left over from our October city council meetings. On the podcast, we heard about a city council leaker on the prowl and a mayor whom everyone is worried about (according to him). We also saw a Canadian council get used to legal marijuana and a North Carolina council ponder a tree jungle. Although October was busy, it was hardly spooky!
We chronicled:
3 council meetings
in 2 states and 1 province
With a combined population of
104,700
We saw
1 new youth councilor with a sense of humor
2 council tweets that sparked a near-expulsion
$5 at most being charged to RV owners by their council
4 podcast interviews, including the mayor who copied word for word from a former president and the reporter who bought a special council meeting tie
52 weeks of council meetings preserved–but no more
And just in time for Thanksgiving, please remember to be grateful for the work of these humble servants:
Weyburn, Saskatchewan city council
